Electrical Principle Engineer

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve

As an Electrical Principle Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering customized solutions for our customers. You will work with a small team to deliver solutions and on projects that span the portfolio of Dell products. You will have the opportunity to engage with the customer as you work on the projects assigned to you.
You will:

  • Be able to work across the Dell portfolio of products - every day will bring a new opportunity to learn
  • You'll be responsible for the engineering work to deliver solutions that our customers request
  • In this role you'll be expected to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Creative problem solving skills - no customer request will be the same

Essential Requirements

  • 8 + years experience in X86 design
  • Experience in schematic capture and PCB design/layout
  • Ability to trouble shoot issues
  • Ability to write and analyze requirements, functional specifications and test plans
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to deliver solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


Desirable Requirements

  • Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree
  • Industry experience in X86 design/development
