Product Management Senior Advisor, Next Gen Ops – Telco Systems Business (Remote)

Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to implement our products or solutions. We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

What you’ll achieve

As a Product Management Senior Advisor, you will identify new growth areas, technologies, and emerging product/service opportunities for Communication Service Providers (CSP). You will conduct in-depth market analysis to optimize existing products/solutions and build next generation products, partnering closely with the Engineering, partners, and other product management teams to build a product road map and align product strategies for the business.

You will:

  • Drive strategic product communications through presentations across organizations providing clarity in decisions.
  • Manage products throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Support business case for improvements or new products
  • Capture and manage requirements and provide a simple interpretation
  • Prioritize features and specifications, applying budget, timeline, and other constraints
  • Drive preparation for external and internal product events
  • Work across all functional areas, gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and communicating the impact of product/ solution decisions to all stakeholders
  • Help technical marketing to develop and review technical collateral and marketing claims.
  • Enable the sales and partners to sell telco products and solutions. Work with solutions business development teams to train direct pre-sales and channel partners on selling and architecting complex enterprise solutions.
  • Author whitepapers, application briefs and blogs that document the applicability of your solutions to this market and own technical training content development and delivery.
  • Team with external facing CSP customer account team to drive strategic account initiatives, developing trusted advisor relationship with our customers and partners. Secure early customers and Proof-Of-Concept (POC) opportunities. Work with account team to deliver and implement these POCs and support customer initiatives including field enablement, sales calls, and RFx responses.

Essential Requirements 

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Excellent technology/engineering skills relating to design, test, and quality
  • Solid grasp of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions
  • Excellence in understanding competitors and their products as well as potential partner relationships for the product
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years’ experience in the communications service provider marketplace (as either customer or vendor) including understanding CSP networking technologies provisioning processes.
  • Familiar with cloud/network orchestration open-source initiatives and standards (ONAP, OSM, ETSI MANO), a working understanding of TOSCA modelling, TMF Framework & TOGAF, as well as the latest Service Orchestration trends and experience developing large scale distributed systems.
  • Working understanding of O-RAN architecture and 3GPP standards.
  • Experience with leading public cloud infrastructure providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and orchestrating services across hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of deploying virtualized application in Linux environments (e.g., KVM, docker container, Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMWare).
