What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the planning, design and development of multiple features as well mentoring and leading a small team of engineer through the execution delivery phases. You will work with the Systems Management solutions team on the delivery of a systems management solution for both on premises datacenter management as well as a cloud SaaS solution.

You will:

  • Lead design and development of entire systems management features
  • Lead a small team of developers to deliver to plan, quality, scale and performance of the solution
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure the product meets the requirements from customers, support teams and service teams.

  • Experience in Object Oriented Analysis & Design
  • Strong development skills in Java is a must
  • Experience with the design and development of cloud solutions, SaaS
  • Experience in integrating products using Web Services/REST API
  • Experience in HTML/CSS/JS (Angular or comparable framework)
  • Experience with Networking, Server and Storage technologies
  • Experience with technical and architectural leadership to team members
  • Experience with technical leadership for architecture, high level design and implementation
  • Experience with effort estimation and project planning
  • Experience with global teams in different time zones
  • Technical "hands on" position in a fast-paced delivery-oriented environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to different roles in different phases of the project lifecycle using Agile methodology

Essential Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in Linux/Java DB technologies - PostgreSQL(Schema Definition, Stored Procedures), Hibernate; NoSQL  Databases (Apache Cassandra)
  • Advanced skills in Linux scripting, RPM Spec file development
  • Cloud technologies like Microservices, containers, Kubernetes etc.
  • Knowledge in developing applications using Tomcat/Spring Frameworks
  • Familiarity with front-end module workflow (ES6, Webpack, Rollup, or comparable tooling)
  • Familiarity with NodeJS and NPM/Yarn
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Software-defined infrastructure (SDN,SDS) is a plus
  • Familiarity with XML, REST, JSON, Reactive Programming (RxJava/Reactor)
  • Multi-threaded programming
  • Java certification a plus
