What you’ll achieve

As Senior Principal Engineer you will help build and lead the software engineering team responsible for the quality assurance strategy for DellEMC’s newest solutions integration team.   This new team will draw upon the vast portfolio of products offered by DellEMC to include servers, storage, networking, and M&O software.  You will be on the leading edge of end to end products delivering fully validated solutions that customers can quickly deploy to their production environments.    This is a globally distributed team in various locations in India and the United States. 

You will:

  • Lead and work across teams of software and quality automation engineers from different products to bring them all together as a complete solution.  

  • Act as a strong technical lead to deliver a world class product to our customers

  • Work with senior leadership across product teams to meet organizational goals. Regular communication with leadership on progress and milestone achievement; Also lead and facilitate career development for a world-class Engineer team

  • Be an advocate in setting and driving engineering best practices to deliver high quality solutions in an efficient and timely manner.

Essential Requirements

  • Product development experience in successfully bringing new infrastructure, software, or M&O products to market.

  • Passionate about being a Leader. Knowledge of how to lead a team to achieve business missions

  • 15+ years of extensive experience with high-performing development teams; knowledge of hardware and software development methods, design and implementation using cutting edge validation processes.

  • Expertise in networking and architecting a total solution that spans multiple areas of a typical data center. Strong communicator and be comfortable communicating technically at both high and low levels.

    Desirable Requirements

    • Extensive experience qualifying and developing enterprise solutions; on premises software, test driven development, software configuration management, automated testing, CI/CD

    • Experience working with large enterprise customers. Knowledgeable in Public & Private Cloud infrastructure technologies

    • Knowledgeable in a subset of the following common data center technology types

    • IPv6, Cisco IOS, OS10, VLAN, Backup and Restore, SDNAS, SAN, SDS, NAS, vSphere, Azure, Hyperconverged

    • Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking.
