The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Product Development Engineering Team

Our engineering team is responsible for the creation and delivery of great software products and solutions, as well as services offerings to support business objectives. The team works closely with a world-class product management team in defining and road-mapping the offerings. We take pride in creating top market products which are unique, cutting-edge, and win the confidence of customers.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will be a part of a team in a very fast paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgement and creative thinking.  

You will:

  • Demonstrate your ability to design, code, test, and deliver Dell’s Bare Metal Orchestrator product portfolio for our Telecom Systems Business
  • Lead the design & development of cloud-native microservices that run at scale on Cloud, Premises, or Hybrid deployment model
  • Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery
  • Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes

Essential Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with technical mastery in at least one domain
  • Agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly
  • Proven experience leading full-stack, microservices application development deployed at scale using Kubernetes on Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable, and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
  • A champion of test-driven development models, CI/CD processes, continuous testing, agile development methodologies using tools like Jira/Github/Jenkins
  • Exceptional skills in debugging, triaging, performance tuning and troubleshooting of large software systems
  • Ability to guide development teams and deliver in fast paced environments

Desirable Requirements

  • 13+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 11+ years with a master’s degree; or 8+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical lead of a software development teams with a proven track record of delivering products
  • Rich working experience with Azure/AWS/GCP, Helm, Linux, Security hardening, and hardware management using protocols like Redfish, SNMP, RESTConf, SSH
