What you’ll achieve

Our impressive Engineering Technician team at Dell Technologies is vital to the success of ground-breaking engineering developments. Taking on developed test plans or clear briefs, they work on a wide range of special assignments and development projects. Our engineers rely on their assistance through the development processes and the test phase of bench and CI/CD systems. Constructing, troubleshooting and testing bench and CI/CD assemblies – they do it all, which means that our global reputation as innovators is assured.


You will:

  • Support procurement, installation, management, and maintenance of critical development and test systems used everyday by the firmware team

  • Provide support to manage the equipment including user accesses, utilization reports, load balancing support activities, and troubleshooting.

  • Support implementation of automation and efficiency improvements with the guidance of firmware QA owners to meet the changing needs of the firmware engineering team

  • Provide on-site support for remote firmware engineering for their on-site equipment needs and issue resolution.

Essential Requirements

  • 1+ years experience working with Oakgate test/validation platforms

  • 2+ years experience working with enterprise CI/CD systems

  • Working knowledge of industry standard tools including Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA

  • Able to build and/or maintain a range of standard, custom, and big iron systems working with 3rd party customer service and support teams

  • Able to work with corporate IT and tools team for troubleshooting, patch installation, firewall issues, and all other logistical support activities to maximize the equipment uptime and availablity for team use


Desirable Requirements

  • Coding experience in python and/or perl to support automation tasks guided by QA engineering

  • Experience supporting administrative tasks to manage the user base
