What you’ll achieve

Our Solutions Co-Creations Services (SCS) Team sits within the Telecom Systems Business (TSB), and is committed to developing solutions for service providers globally and integrating the breadth of the Dell Technologies portfolio for these solutions.  Our team members combine technical knowledge with broad business development capabilities and Service Provider background to drive adoption of solutions with our customers & partners globally, showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage.

As a SCS Solution Advocate, you will be responsible for driving adoption of these co-developed solutions with Dell Technologies enterprise sales teams and Telco enterprise sales teams. Using a wealth of sales and industry experience, we work across functional areas to promote adoption of our co-developed solutions. 

This position is a North America role (USA/Canada); however, this position requires working with team members globally, including US, Australia, Middle East, Asia Pacific Japan, and Europe daily.

Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Build awareness of the SCS co-developed solutions and drive momentum with Dell Technologies and Telco sales teams focused on selling to enterprise customers.

  • Execute the processes and methodologies to drive success, including Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) to ensure processes are optimized for the mission

  • Integrate with larger Business Unit and other internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate with technical teams, marketing, campaign managers, and sales to build a pipeline for driving adoption of solutions

  • Interlock / coordination / collaboration with the Business Unit, Global Alliances, and Channel organizations

  • Participate in ideation workshops alongside the Dell Technologies Campaign Managers to determine how we can partner with Service Providers

  • Support the development of Service Provider Go-To-Market strategies and projects for integrated solutions

  • Understanding of the different types and models of service providers including Telecom, Cloud Service Provider, Systems Integrator, and Strategic Outsourcers

Success measures:

  • Achievement to Plan (reaching milestones on time)

  • Attainment/Adoption of solutions (Sell-In, Sell-Out, and Resell metrics)

  • Excitement for solution selling motion (surveys/interviews)

  • Execution of campaign plans (activities/action)

  • Creation of pipeline generation plans

  • Pipeline tracking

Essential Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in technical IT field

  • Experience with Sales, Pre-Sales, and finance

  • Experience with Project Planning tools and methodology

  • Working with sales teams

  • Telco Cloud Technologies, Cloud Service Provider Technologies

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Strong understanding of Service Provider market, requirements, technologies, drivers Storage Technologies

  • Marketing

  • Pre-Sales

Desirable Requirements:

  • Dell Technologies (Server, Storage, Networking, HCI, DPS)

  • Understanding of the selling motion for a consultative solution sale

  • Telco Technologies (NFV, OSS, BSS, SDWAN, 5G, ORAN, VRAN, etc)

  • Cloud Technologies (Cloud, VMware, Automation, Multi-Tenancy, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

  • DellEMC Networking product line knowledge

  • VMWare product family knowledge

  • Dell Technologies Server product family knowledge

  • DellEMC Storage product family knowledge

  • Role: (Corporate Development & Strategy/Strategic Business Development) / Solutions Advocate Practice

  • Reporting: I-10 level role reporting to Director of SCS Solutions Advocate Practice

  • Comp: Base Salary + IBP (bonus)

  • Location: Remote USA or Canada, supporting the US West Coast to Midwest Region, and some time in Dell Technologies Office, but mostly work from home and customer sites

  • Regional travel to support sales motion (post COVID-19 “new normal” travel profile)

  • This position is being staffed as a full-time role, that has a standard full-time work week
