Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve
As a Wireless/RF Senior Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for System Design to build market leading 802.11ax WiFi products for both indoor and outdoor markets.  You will also lead the 5G/LTE effort including carrier certification. Other protocols such as Bluetooth may be required. You will work with working closely leading SDWAN/Edge Gateway customers and Marketing and Software engineering to develop industry leading products to ensure Dell and their customer success.
You will:

  • Radio design and overall access point product performance and quality including: board level design, switches and antennas.

  • Generate radio specification and EVT procedure, evaluate prototype and review test reports.

  • Provide technical guidance to ODM engineers and help them to resolve technical problems.

  • Perform overall system power consumption estimate and gauge its thermal impact, provide inputs to mechanical designers for optimal RF performance.

  • Drive the, implementation, and successful end user integration of Wi-Fi access point and OEM products.

  • Lead RF related innovation activities, such as smart antenna, dual 5GHz AP, versatile wireless AP tester, and automatic channel selection and interference mitigation for high-density deployment.

Essential Requirements

  • EE/MSEE with 5-9+ years of experience in RF hardware Product Development

  • Ability to work collaboratively with people across multiple functional areas.

  • Ability to conceptualize product features and to meet customers’ needs and work with other technical teams to define new products.

  • Ability to develop track and produce management and hardware project reports and presentations

  • Good communication and documentation skills are a must.

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with carrier certifications with vendors like ATT, Verizon.
