Developer Marketing Manager - APEX

Key Responsibilities

Developers are key decision makers in the new world of technology. We’re looking for someone who understands their world and can help DevOps practitioners understand the value of the APEX as-a-service offers from Dell and why they are the right choice for their infrastructure, and success. This is a critical role working on an area with sr. executive interest. We’re looking for a person who can define a strategy and roll up their sleeves to build the content that makes it real. If you’re looking to help steer the direction of marketing and help Dell reach out to the developer/DevOps community, then this is the job for you.

You will:

  • Be the APEX team member on point for all DevOps/developer marketing including messaging, proof points, web presence, videos, social content, blogs, presentations, etc.
  • Create/execute the developer marketing strategy, messaging, content, and delivery for the APEX portfolio
  • Provide APEX portfolio-level developer materials for sales, field marketing, analyst engagements, executive communications, and other engagements
  • Define, track, and report out on progress/measurements of APEX developer assets and market comparisons success


Essential Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of related experience in developer marketing for business-to-business IT/Tech products, with 3+ years’ experience in as-a-service or cloud
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating complex and technical infrastructure topics to technical audiences in compelling, innovative, and informative ways
  • Someone who can deal with ambiguity, create clarity, inspire confidence, owns outcomes, works well in a team, and has a bias for action 
  • Experience crating developer marketing or sales materials focused on telling a development and infrastructure-as-a-service message


Desirable Requirements

  • BS in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, etc.) with an MBA
  • Previous experience in, using, or working closely with IT
