What you’ll achieve
Project APEX is defining the future of Dell Technologies – and the APEX Console is the central pane of glass for delivering all APEX offers to our customers. It’s a singular orchestration platform across the company for our customers to engage with Dell Technologies. We are looking for an engineering leader to come lead SRE for APEX offers. We are looking for a leader who believes if you build it, you run it; automate every task possible; and keeps the operational load down to allow for development time.

Lead the team accountable for health of Dell Technologies APEX offers including 24/7 monitoring, incident management, and security
Create and execution tooling, instrumentation and automation plan for service management tasks for DT APEX offers
Lead customer engagement, coordination and communication on service events, outages and escalations for APEX offers
Build e2e support structure across services, product development, platform and SRE teams for optimization of operations and reliability of services
Improve service observability through driving investments in forensics and monitoring of latency, error rate, traffic and saturation
Institute proactive testing of service resiliency and supportability as part of release process
Become the voice of customer into product and SRE development teams for service stability and reliability features
Own measuring, tracking and optimization of key service quality metrics
Lead the culture of proactive automation, development-led-optimization, and customer-focus in how APEX offers are built and managed.
Ensure operational security and compliance of aaS offers
Ensure extremely high uptime and resilience of aaS offers
Build and operate runbooks to deliver at-scale operational automation
Define code types of alerts needed to monitor health; perform routine stress test on aaS offers to find blind spots and patch them
Forecast aaS failures and take proactive action
Develops long-range plans and creates specific strategies to achieve goals.
Serve as technical consultant and technical leader.
Has full budgetary responsibility, authorizes the resources necessary to achieve organizational goals. Champions and develops innovative principles and ideas, links multiple and varied concepts to develop new and workable ideas.
