Dell Technologies seeks a senior professional to lead Sales Planning and Strategy for our Greater China ISG (Server & Storage) Business.  This position will serve as the Operations Leader driving both topline and bottom-line goals of our ISG business.  This role will be an integral link between the Sales organization, finance, marketing, as well as other teams to support go-to market planning and driving a world class Business Management system to deliver business performance in a high growth environment.  In this exciting role it will be critical to establish a strong partnership and business understanding while working closely with the senior management team as well as leading a talented team members.

What you’ll achieve
As a Sales Planning and Strategy Senior Manager , you will be Key deliverables from this position will be leading & coaching a team of talented team members, contributing to regular business reviews, providing business intelligence, and supporting decision making processes based on both financial and operational metrics.

You Will

  • Build a strong GBO brand to attract the best talent to work for this team, lead & coach team members.  Work closely with GBO leadership to facilitate talent sourcing and talent rotation. Build financial and business plans.  Drive execution to corporate financial goals.  Manage end to end P&L, clearly understanding the P&L drivers and enablers.  Be responsible to drive a balanced P&L: Grow revenues profitably, manage Opex prudently and maximize error-free and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Develop and maintain a strong governance process including setting up review mechanisms, defining key performance indicators and tracking the same through regular reporting.  Maintain and drive operational cadence while driving strategic initiatives.  Work closely with the pricing teams to develop and execute pricing strategies.
  • Develop and implementing Go to Market strategy to Optimize performance.  Define globally consistent segments across customers and Geos.  Optimize sales motions, roles and responsibilities and coverage ratios.  Promote teaming and consistency to drive optimum productivity.  Innovate and optimize the use of available resources.
  • Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes and evaluating new tools.  Own the end-to-end process of tracking sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business.  Define and deliver techniques to improve the funnel performance.
  • Translate sales strategies into system and process requirements, ensure execution and measure business impact.  Work closely with Comp teams in designing Comp plans and drive entire governance around rolling out the quotas and final payouts.


Essential Requirements

  • High Energy Finance and Sales Operations professional with a solid controllership foundation who is process driven, proactive, solution oriented and customer focused.
  • Proven Leadership & People Management experience
  • Should excel at business insights and stakeholder engagement.  Adept at building and handling diverse teams, dedicated to handling tasks such as identifying issues, developing positions, and nurturing teams to manage in an independent manner.
  • Adept at strategic planning, analytical approach to anticipate and resolve issues in advance.  Candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Adept at efficiently functioning in a heavily matrixed global environment.  Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and consensus with a variety of constituencies both inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to recognize financial implications of business decisions and strategy.  Adept at change management skills involving lot of moving parts including people, technology, systems, goals and external market.

Desirable Requirements

  • Degree Qualified in Business or Commerce field. 10+ years of experience in finance and sales operations (Go To Market Strategy, Productivity improvements, Drive Topline and Profitability, Controls and Compliance, Customer Satisfaction initiatives, and Tools & Processes) including experience of working in a multinational company.
  • People Management Experience
