BIOS Firmware Principal Engineer

State-of-the-art products demand state-of-the-art firmware, and that’s the role of our Firmware Engineering team. We lead and deliver the analysis, design, programming, debugging, troubleshooting or modification of software for firmware applications. Our team oversees programming activities involving analog and digital hardware as well as software operating systems. We also influence product development at all stages. In short, we use the latest technology to modify existing solutions, in addition to developing innovative new software and firmware solutions

What you’ll achieve

BIOS programmer for Dell client products, core bios. Participates in the preparation, review, and analysis of BIOS requirements and specifications. Manage ODM to conduct troubleshooting, root-causing and bug fix for any BIOS related issues.

You will:

• Responsible for feature implementation, issue solving and solution review.

• Participates in the creation of design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation, as needed.

• Manage ODMs and IBV codes development, issue management for root causing, resolution and closure through the entire cycles..

• Accurately log project schedule, defect, and other data into the appropriate databases. 

• Team work with other functional teams like software, hardware, testing and so on

Essential Requirements

• 8+ years of BIOS/Firmware programming related experience

• Fluent in UEFI architecture and UDK build infrastructure that knowing how to add new feature or providing customization guidance

• Familiar with code programming in C/C++ language

• Good analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills and understanding of hardware and software interactions.

• Good English reading/speaking/communication skill and good interpersonal/communication skills to clearly communicate issues and status

Desirable Requirements

• GIT related experience 

• Innovative thinking and can do spirit.
