Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Controller

We lead and deliver the analysis, design, programming, debugging, troubleshooting or modification of software for firmware applications. Our team oversees programming activities involving analog and digital hardware as well as software operating systems. We also influence product development at all stages. In short, we use the latest technology to modify existing solutions, in addition to developing innovative new software and firmware solutions

What you’ll achieve
EC (Embedded Controller) programmer for Dell client products, including Notebooks, AIO, Desktop, Tablet or Workstation. Responsible for EC Firmware development (design, implementation, unit test, issue resolution) of the assigned features on client products. Participates in the preparation, review, and analysis of EC requirements and specifications. Participates in the creation of design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide ODMs and IBV/ISVs assessment for new product development, and manage ODMs and IBV/ISVs for EC codes development, issue management for root causing, resolution and closure through the entire cycles.
Maintain source code revision control. Experience on EC programming
Clearly communicate project issues and status.
Accurately log project schedule, defect, and other data into the appropriate databases.
Team work with other functional teams like EE, Testing and so on

Essential Requirements
6+ years in EC development
Good understanding of embedded controller architecture. Proficient in C and familiar with assembly language
Working experience of RTOS
Experience in Smart Power/Battery management, thermal management, performance throttling on Intel CPU.
Good analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
