What you’ll achieve
Architect and influence the shaping of future products by providing electrical engineering insight into the technology roadmap. Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities as well as technology risks. Execute designs for complex systems backed by thorough engineering analysis. Take responsibility for gathering requirements and concepts generation. Generate IP to protect innovation and embrace the diversity of new ideas and new features. Responsible for the design activities associated with electronic designs. Leads all activities necessary to take a design from Incubation phase to Business Award.
Works with the design team, cross functional teams and suppliers to ensure the design meets the requirements for schedule, feature set, functionality, cost, quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.
Selects components based on analysis of specifications, cost, continuity of supply, and reliability. Responsible for cost reduction initiatives and compare the BOM ( Bill Of Material ) difference with the product’s predecessor.
Ensures that designs integrate with rest of product functions including mechanical and software
Supports specialized electrical sub-systems such as power, batteries, graphics, component, memory, etc
Deeply engage system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and/or the integration of total systems or multiple functions.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of related experience in a professional role
Possess extensive experience in designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies with an expert understanding of block diagrams, schematics, layouts, electrical and power analysis, thermal dissipation, PCB ( Printed circuit board ) stack-ups.
Strong communication skills (written and oral) with other company team members and the customer as required.
have extensive experience with CAD ( ComputerAidedDesign) systems (Gerber experience required).
Possess working knowledge of mass-production manufacturing processes and material costs
Excellent understanding of system architectures, proven ability to work at the circuit as well as the system level and hardware and firmware interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues
Ability to make risk calls, priority decisions, and work through others and to influence others to achieve results
