Touchpad Senior Principal Engineer

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality, and quality, as well as industry standards.

What You’ll Achieve
Work with technology providers, suppliers, and ODMs to enhance technical and resource capability to support demands of Dell future product strategy and roadmap. Proactively work with other cross-functional engineering groups such as advanced engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering, to enable our Touchpad supplier partners to provide innovative cost-effective Touchpad solutions for Dell products.

You Will:

·Provide the technology recommendation and solution in planning stage.

·Co-work with platform engineer and front-end team to implement Touchpad design.

·Define / Review / Revise Touchpad specifications and related test documents.

·Suppliers Management: Standardization of global Touchpad suppliers’ specification to mitigate the effort for Dell.

·Support a solid risk management plan on meeting platform’s goal.

Essential Requirements

·        Excellent Touchpad technical skills (ex. EE and ME, etc.) and strong ability to provide guidance.

·        Full Hardware lifecycle experience , from concept to production.

·        Current skills in Touchpad related fields are essential /required.

·       Bachelors or greater, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, with 8 -10 years’ experience in related fields.

·        Prior experience and the strong ability to work with technology providers, suppliers, ODM's and develop new and foster existing relationships.

·        Ability to communicate clearly through oral and written communications across global organizations.

Desirable Requirements

·        Strong program management skills.

·        Excellent priority setting skills and strong initiative and ability to work in a fast pace environment.
