Global Privacy Program Manager

What you’ll achieve

As a Global Privacy Program Manager, you will act as a strategic partner for Dell’s Commercial Sales Operations, Enterprise Sales Operations, and Commercial Channel and Distribution teams. Reporting to Dell’s Global Privacy Program Director, you will implement privacy compliance program strategic priorities, ensure that Dell operates within the law, and provide guidance on privacy matters. This will include ensuring that all business processes, projects, applications, systems, processes and data exchanges are in accordance with Dell’s Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Procedures and Standards.

You will:

  • Proactively develop privacy solutions that will mature the privacy capability of your functions (clients)
  • Develop and drive consensus around creative solutions to privacy-by-design/privacy-by-default requirements, including conducting Privacy Impact Assessments on internal tools, processes, products, solutions and services
  • Manage privacy complaints and remediation efforts, as well as data subject rights requests, coordinating with legal and business partners as necessary
  • Drive cross-functional privacy governance meetings with key stakeholders
  • Ensure up-to-date inventory of personal information assets along with associated data flow mappings; document and maintain data processing activities
  • Create and perform targeted privacy trainings as well as additional privacy awareness across the broader enterprise

Essential Requirements

  • 12+ years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • General knowledge of foundational requirements of privacy law (such as CCPA and GDPR) and industry best practices
  • Sound technical expertise on global privacy risk management with ability to apply smart risk and anticipate privacy compliance issues/risks
  • Experience managing a global privacy compliance program for a business unit/functional department Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to write technical reports/policies/procedures as well as the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, influence stakeholders and drive results to achieve win/win outcomes

Desired Requirements

  • 5+ years of global privacy compliance program management experience is preferred
  • Experience with privacy issues related to sales operations and channel sales is desired
  • Legal qualification and/or IAPP/CIPP/CIPM privacy certifications are a plus
  • Experience working with customer care and sales ops-related privacy matters is a plus
  • Experience looking at incidents/breaches is a plus
