Job Role and Responsibilities

The Cloud Sales Executivewillhaveprincipalresponsibility to drive VMware's Cloud Management and Cloud Health within the segment

The person should have the following skills

  • Can build a complex territory strategy to ensure success for both short and long-term goals, objectives and quotas for the regional sales teams

  • Can execute the territory strategy through the specialist team, direct selling team and indirectly through a multitude of Channel Partners and local Demand Generation

  • Closely work with extended sales resources, including, but not limited to SE, PSO, Inside Sales, Channel etc.

  • Partners with the Core sales team and their leadership in efforts to plan & execute cohesive sales campaigns into the Regions

  • Has accurate forecasting, planning.

  • Has experience structuring and negotiating large enterprise deals, and orchestrating a broad mix of resources, in order to execute a successful 90-day sales campaign.

Required Skills(GeneralSales)

  • Understanding of Cloud business market and technology, especially from cloud operation perspective such as automation, operation, and troubleshooting.

  • 8 -12 years of sales experience in a dynamic, highly competitive, hyper growth enterprise sales environment.

  • Experience in proposing and receiving orders for public cloud servicesincluding, but not limitedAWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Experience in subscription business

  • Experience in country wide Sales exposure is key

  • Proven success in quota achievement and over achievement in matrixed organization, with experience building and maintaining an engaged culture of high performers.

  • Strong executive business communication skills across a multitude of business leaders and stakeholders within large, complex organizations.

  • Extensive experience negotiating multi-million-dollar deals with complex terms, conditions, price pressures and considerations.

  • Demonstrate creative and critical thinking.

  • Be able to independently develop plans for targets, break them down into action items and tasks, and proactively respond to regular team reviews

  • Growth mindset

Required Skills(TechnicalSales)

  • Good understanding of virtualization technology concepts and architecture

  • Understanding of public cloud architectures, especially AWS, Azure, and GCP, and their appeal points for proposals.

  • Understanding of automation of IT resource deployand operations

  • Experience in integrating IT resource automation with ticketing and process automation

  • Experience in improving efficiency in billing public cloud andon-premiseworkloads

Preferred Skills

  • Consistent record of achieving business objectives in a hyper growth environment.

  • Engineering degree or higher.

  • English speaking

  • Professional development specific to Industry

  • Extra-Curricular awards or community involvement

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
