This exciting role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to make a real difference, as part of a global Procurement team, managing a $3B supply chain network.

Dell's Software & Peripherals Procurement team require an exceptional Senior Supply Chain Commodity Management advisor to lead the strategic sourcing & enablement of S&P products in South Asia and Korea (SAK).

In this role you will be responsible for managing the Supply Chain Relationships with Core partners/distributors in South Asia and Korea (SAK) , performing quarterly business reviews. You will work cross functionally with S&P operations, Fulfilment & Marketing team. Negotiating product cost & coordinating contract activity in addition to Implementing cost saving programs, complexity reduction initiatives, supply chain optimization & digitalization initiatives, aligned with the S&P global strategy.

What you’ll achieve
As a  Senior Commodity Management Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing S&P strategy, managing core global S&P partners & ensuring optimum supply chain & pricing that will assist in driving S&P growth in the region.

You will:

  • Lead the strategic sourcing & enablement of S&P products in South Asia and Korea (SAK). Evaluate alternate sourcing opportunities that will drive enhanced cost or supply chain outcomes.

  • Negotiate product cost & co-ordinate contracts activity (PPDA, ISA), ensuring obligations are met.

  • Manage the Supply Chain Relationships with Core partners/distributors in South Asia and Korea (SAK). Ensure Distributor BCRP plans are in place.

  • Provide external Benchmark pricing to allow for regular competitive comparison with current supply chains. 

  • Maximize funding (Rebate/Headcount/MDF) from distribution partners.

  • Perform Quarterly Business Review and ensure partners are meeting key performance indicators across Procurement, Operations & Fulfillment.

  • Provide analysis and solutions for overcoming metrics target shortfalls.

  • Apart from Quarterly business reviews, have regular meetings cadence with key partners to drive continuous improvement / progress open actions to closure.

  •  Identify & Implement cost saving programs, complexity reduction initiatives & supply chain optimization initiatives, aligned with the S&P global strategy.

  • Work with distributors to understand market trends, new vendors & technologies, bringing these to the attention of the Dell LOB (Line of business) Marketing teams. 

  • Develop and implement new modernization initiatives (Digitalization/Automation), for process/network optimizations & to support business growth.

  • In partnership with other departments, work on meeting internal & external customer requirements on enabling new solutions, aligning to overall GTM strategy.

  • Address core partner supply chain & customer escalations issues in relation to fulfilment, operations, inventory management & cost.

  • Conduct regular meetings with internal departments to review project initiatives and onboarding governance.

  • Review supply base spend & recommend vendors with no or low spend for deactivation. 

  • Support Report/Metric generation process for team

  • Manage global S&P Programs & Initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the same capacity preferably in modern supply chain and supplier/vendor relationship management

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills

  • Self-starter with strong sense of urgency, look around the corner, good communication and problem solving skills

  • Analytical, proactive, customer oriented and result-driven

Desirable Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent in any discipline

  • Experience in supplier evaluation, as well as pricing and cost analysis

  • Experience in market research, trend analysis

  • Working knowledge in contract management

  • Good Project Management Skills
