Senior Software Engineering Manager

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve

  • As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading an agile software development team, within our global Storage organization, responsible for the industry leading Dell PowerStore storage appliance.  

You will:

  • Be the manager and local leader for a team of software engineers based in Warszawa who work closely with other teams across the globe.  (US, Israel, China, India, Russia)  

  • Be responsible for all aspects of planning, execution, and delivery of software components following an Agile development methodology

  • Be the coach for the team – mentoring team members, motivating them, helping them grow, and nurturing a high-performance team

Essential Requirements

  • Understanding of networking area (network programming, network administration, Linux networking, network protocols, etc.)

  • 3+ years’ experience as a software developer

  • 3+ years’ experience as a team-leader/manager - experience in hiring, training, motivating, coaching, and assessing performance of software engineers.

  • Strong technical and software development background with good knowledge of product development lifecycle, testing principles, and associated tools.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in spoken and written English

Desirable Requirements

  • Good understanding of public cloud technologies (AWS / Azure / GCP), operating model, services, best practices, and architectures

  • Knowledge of at least one primary virtualization stack (vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM, Xen) and container technologies (Docker / Kubernetes)
