How Dell Empowers Women in Tech with Ana Werneck

Did you know that Dell has a goal of filling 50% of its global workforce and 40% of its leadership team with people who identify as female by 2030? 

I’m Ana Werneck, and my position as a Talent Acquisition Advisor for Latin America is a key one to promote diversity throughout our recruitment processes. I’m responsible for sourcing and engaging diverse candidates by constantly communicating with them and sharing all actions and programs that Dell promotes as a Top Employer. The diversity of people is beneficial to the work environment and helps us to have different points of view to arrive at the best solutions for our clients (whether internal or external). My primary focus revolves around immersing myself in D&I topics, and my greatest aspiration is to continue making a positive impact in people's lives and fostering meaningful discussions on building an even more inclusive work environment.

I believe it is not just about bringing people to the company but about committing to a diverse environment. Did you know that Dell has Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for different topics at Dell? For example, Women in Action promotes female development within the organization. We also have other initiatives* we promote for women, such as: 

• STEMAspire: Technology mentoring program for students who identify with the female gender. 
• IT Academy 4 Women: Internship program for students who identify with the female gender, focusing on their development in IT and future hiring. 
• Immersion 4 Women: Java development program for students who identify with the female gender, with editions in Basic Java and Intermediate Java.
