Recruitment Fraud Alert
It has been brought to our attention that there have been several instances of fraudulent job offers claiming to be from Dell Technologies and/or its affiliates. These individuals have been offering fraudulent employment opportunities to applicants, conducting fake interviews and often asking for sensitive personal and financial information from candidates.
Please be aware that Dell does not collect any financial commitment or sensitive personal information from candidates as a pre-employment requirement. Genuine job openings are posted on the Dell Careers website, and we follow a merit-based employee recruitment practice with extensive screening steps.
How to identify recruitment fraud:
- Dell Technologies does not ask for any fee or financial commitment from a candidate at any stage of the recruitment process.
- Fraudulent job offers often ask for financial or personal information early in the process. The Dell recruitment team does not request for sensitive personal information like bank account details, tax forms or credit card information as part of the recruitment process.
- Be wary of unsolicited communications from an individual or websites with which you are unfamiliar, or whose domain name is inconsistent with the actual business.
- Be wary of correspondence from free e-mail accounts like Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail. Our recruiters may initiate communication with candidates via LinkedIn, however, employees will not solicit candidates through a non-Dell e-mail address.
- Be wary of communications that do not include information about a specific job opening (or the job description is vague) and/or extends a job offer without an interview.
All genuine job openings are posted on the official Dell Careers website (jobs.dell.com). If you are in doubt or unsure about the source of a job offer, please visit jobs.dell.com to verify the job opening. If you believe you have been a victim of a recruitment fraud, please approach the law enforcement agencies immediately.
Dell Technologies bears no responsibility for the actions of either the fraudsters or the victims, and any loss/injury arising therefrom. The public in general is advised to follow the above guidelines to avoid being lured into such incidents.
