About Me:

I was born and raised in central Massachusetts, and I graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's in Business Management. I relocated to the Austin area when I started full-time in the summer of 2022. I am currently a second-year rotationer in the HR Rotation Program (HRRP), working as an Organizational Development Strategist supporting Global Sales. During my first rotation, I worked on the Talent Architecture team, working closely with Tell Dell.

Some fun facts include:

1) I was a practice player for my university's Women's basketball team in college.

2) I completed my first half marathon in February, and I'm looking to run a second one this fall!

Why I Joined Dell:

When I attended a Dell Technologies-hosted program called the Student STAR Program during my senior year of high school, I was very impressed with the company. Upon completion, the program manager informed me to stay in touch since they would need interns in a few years. Following her advice, I went through the recruitment process during my freshman year of college and was excited to be chosen as one of the three interns to help facilitate Student STAR that summer.

A year later, I returned and interned virtually with the program and had another great summer. I spent time that summer focused on networking myself into an area of the company more aligned with my academic focus on Human Resources and was directed toward the HRRP. I ended up securing an internship with the HRRP in 2021 which turned into an offer as a full-time HRRP team member. After three incredible summers, I happily accepted the offer, and the rest is history!

My Experience in the HRRP:

I have loved my time as a member of the HRRP! So far, I've had exposure to a wide array of opportunities, including recruitment, co-leading our intern program, and many more. There is constant learning within this program, and I really enjoy that.

My favorite parts of the HRRP are:

1) The people

2) The global nature of the program

Some of my closest friends have come from this program, regardless of whether they are in Round Rock, TX, or all the way over in Europe. It serves as a testament to the quality of the culture here at Dell when you want to spend time with coworkers outside of work. In addition to the people, I also appreciate that we are given projects that have an impact on the company and that the program's stakeholders are invested in helping us succeed.

During my time in the HRRP, I am most proud of co-leading our 2023 interns. As a three-time intern, I recognize the impact that a beneficial internship experience can have on an individual and the ways that our programming and intentionality can enhance our recent graduate talent pipeline. So many of the doors that opened for me have come from people investing in me as an intern, and I want to provide those same opportunities to our interns.

One of the things that I appreciate the most about the HRRP is the investment that managers, HRRP alumni, and HR Leadership place in our success. They want us to succeed and grow our careers, which motivates me to bring my best to the office each and every day. We are exposed to all types of work across the company, but we also have three completely separate rotations to build our HR and business acumen and strengthen our skillset. My responsibilities in this rotation are very different from what I worked on in my previous role, but now I have both experiences to bring to the table as I grow my career. I know that I will be graduating from this program as a more holistic employee, and this is exactly why I wanted to join this program.

Top Tips for Those Interested in Joining the HRRP:

  1. Be a sponge.

One of the best pieces of advice that I've received is to be like a sponge. Just soak up as much information, knowledge, and resources as possible. Your ability to do this will allow you to better understand the interconnectedness of the work that occurs throughout the company and the role that you play in it. The more you retain, the more you can build your brand as someone people can turn to for questions and support.

  1. Say "Yes".

That same leader advised us to always say "yes" to opportunities. When you are willing to take on new things and produce high-quality work, people will remember the impact you bring to the table.

Outside of Work:

Outside of work, I enjoy running, playing tennis, spending time with friends, traveling, playing and watching sports, and more. I'm a very extroverted person, so if it's something with other people, count me in!
