What are some of the most valuable experiences or insights you've gained during your time in the MDP program?

After joining MDP in February, I've had the chance to learn new skills from amazing leaders and coworkers, such as video editing, presentation building and public speaking. Because I'm based in Austin, I've had many in person opportunities to present and learn in front of lots of talented people who have given me feedback on my work which has allowed me to grow and develop.

How has the MDP program contributed to your professional growth and career development at Dell?

Being able to be in different roles throughout dell has allowed me to learn marketing as a whole and how different teams collaborate and work together. Our MDP leaders are also dedicated to our development with skills workshops and summits to grow as a professional.

Could you highlight any standout projects or opportunities you've had a chance to work on as part of the MDP program?

In my current role, I've had the opportunity to attend QuakeCon (a gaming event) with Alienware where we saw our brand and products being used for a video game tournament. I've also gotten to attend the opening of the University of Texas Alienware Longhorn Arena where students get to directly interact with our products and see the impact that Experiential Marketing is making on students.

In what ways has the program fostered a sense of community and collaboration among participants, and how might this benefit new members?

Unlike a full-time job, you join the program with other participants which is divided into cohorts based on the time you join. I am truly lucky to have other people early in career to bounce ideas off of, learn from and bond with. There are also committees within the program that allow you to build skills and relationships outside of the main role you are assigned.

What advice would you offer to potential applicants who are considering joining the MDP program?

This program is great to build a vast network of people who are truly committed to helping your career development. Having advocates in your corner early in your career can really empower you to branch out and feel confident in the future of your career. It also lets you try out different career paths which helps you figure out what you want to do in the future.
