What you’ll achieve
As aSystem Architect, you will drive the electrical architecture of cutting-edge laptops, collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective designs. You’ll influence product strategy, lead cross-functional design decisions, and help shape the future of mobile computing.
You will:
Establish and document electrical requirements for new laptop platforms
Architect and validate system-level electrical designs, including high-speed interfaces, power delivery, and signal integrity
Drive design trade-offs across electrical, mechanical, thermal, firmware, and BIOS domains
Lead technical discussions with global engineering teams and suppliers to ensure alignment and execution
Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and reliability standards

Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 7–10+ years of experience in electrical or system-level product design
Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, with proven experience in high-speed bus interfaces such as PCIe, USB4, DDR, and DisplayPort
Skilled in interpreting electrical simulations and test results to guide design decisions
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional engineering efforts and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams and executive stakeholders
Desirable Requirements
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with experience in laptop or mobile system architecture and both x86 and ARM system platforms
Proven success collaborating with global development teams and ODM partners to deliver complex system designs
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $255,000.
