We are a multi-functional team from diverse backgrounds, who work to explore, define and build the human computing experiences of tomorrow. We drive innovation & disruption for Dell at the intersection of Design, Technology & Strategy; with expertise in UX, UI, research, strategy, data science, product, visual, motion, industrial, SW & HW engineering. 

Job Description:

Our Innovation Technologists are responsible for concept technical definition with their cross-functional studio team, experience evaluation, and solutioning work to enable the concept vision. This includes working with our technology team, partners, and vendors to bring together all necessary ingredients for their concepts. Innovation Technologists follow Experience-led innovation best practices, providing their team with technical expertise, feasibility assessments, and coordinating concept technical deliverables. Technologists own and define, with support from the broader team, incubation activities on their concepts across functional technology disciplines, ensuring that solutions achieve Experience objectives.

• You will:
  • Own and drive incubation activities across functional technical disciplines to explore and build future experiences for our users
  • Participate as lead technical contributor and key team member in concept ideation and definition of our innovation projects
  • Work closely with Design, Research, and Business Strategy peers, as well as partners or vendors, to bring together all necessary ingredients for experience concepts
  • Develop intellectual property and engage with product teams to bring innovative experiences to our customers

• Essential requirements:
  • Broad technical leadership skills with experience in incubation or product development, with 8+ years’ experience. excellent communication and partnership skills with ability to translate experience objectives into technical components and milestones
  • Experience in navigating and driving projects forward in a matrix organization and across partners/vendors/ODMs. Creative and resourceful problem solver, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience in developing embedded systems, firmware on Windows, Linux and/or Android platforms. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience in evaluating new technologies
  • Proficiency in full-stack development. Ability to integrate AI/ML features into use cases and demonstrations. Broad knowledge of various programming languages such as Python, Javascript, C/C++/C#
  • Independent and team player, experience working in multi-functional teams with designers / strategists / researchers
