What you’ll achieve
Help shape the future of Dell! We’re looking for a Customer Research Consultant to join our team and bring the voice of the customer into the heart of product planning. In this role, you’ll design and deliver research that uncovers customer needs, pain points, and preferences—and turn those insights into recommendations that shape next-generation products and portfolios.
You’ll partner closely with marketing, design, and engineering teams, while also managing Dell’s customer research panels (commercial, consumer, and gaming) to ensure we’re building with real customer voices at the center. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable running large-scale global studies with research vendors and rolling up their sleeves to design quick surveys, facilitate interviews, and synthesize insights into compelling stories for executives.
You will:
- Design and execute customer research (B2B and B2C) that informs product and portfolio decisions.
- Translate business questions into research objectives, selecting the right mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Partner with external market research vendors on large, global studies; independently run smaller, fast-turn projects (surveys, interviews, focus groups).
- Deliver clear, actionable recommendations that influence marketing, product, and executive leadership.
- Manage and grow Dell’s customer research panels, driving engagement, participation, and high-quality insights.

Essential Requirements
- BA/BS in business, statistics, technical, or related field
- 5+ years of experience designing and executing customer research
- Strong grasp of advanced research methods (e.g., conjoint, MaxDiff, cluster/factor analysis).
- Experience managing external research partners and ensuring participant quality.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Desirable Requirements
- Graduate degree in research or behavioral sciences
- Experience with customer research panels or online communities, particularly in maintaining engagement, ensuring participant quality, and leveraging panels for high-value insight
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $157,000 – $180,000
