What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for driving DELL Secure OS and it’s all releases, committed deliverables. You will work with dev team, automation team, QA team, architects, product management, dependent product teams, vendors, 3rd party, security team, innovation team and product support team

You will:
•  Participate in Dell Secure OS roadmap discussions, strategies and executions and be gatekeeper / interfaces between product management team and dev team, dev team and QA
•  Help the team to implement innovative ideas that are inline with Dell’s roadmap and strategy
• Help to optimize the OS binary size and improve the performance of boot time, app launch time, etc and help through suggestion on optimization, performance improvement, implementation of new features.
•  Debug kernel and other system components.
•  Mentor juniors and collaborate with cross-geographical teams.

Essential Requirements:
•    Strong knowledge on agile process, Dell’s OLP process and its deliverables. 
•   Must have experience in multiple project/product on end-to-end life cycle handling and sound knowledge on tracking the matrices and OKRs
•    Solid knowledge on CI|CD, Unit Test, GenAI Framework and Linux Community Contribution
•    Understands tradeoffs between hardware and software interactions.
•    Sound Knowledge on operating systems concepts, firmware, BIOS, device drivers, system internals, network tools and utilities

Desirable Requirements 
•    Engineering Degree with 15 - 20 years of relevant experience advantageous to have working knowledge on GenAI and Community Contribution
•    Hands on expertise into Atlassian tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence etc., GIT, TDD, CI/CD and advantageous to have experience with graphics, network, audio drivers.
•    Good to have knowledge of Security, threat modelling, static scans, vulnerabilities and other SDL controls.
