What you’ll achieve
As the director of engineering, you will lead strategic and technical execution across BIOS, embedded firmware, and platform software domains. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the architecture, enhancing delivery velocity, and optimizing operational efficiency of BIOS and firmware for client products.

You will:

• You will oversee BIOS and firmware core engineering, including chipset reference code, open-source integration, and feature development (e.g., security, manageability, update/recovery) across Intel, AMD, and ARM platforms.
• Lead platform-specific enablement, aligning BIOS/FW/Driver/OS/SW across ODMs and internal teams to ensure product delivery and high quality
• Define and execute modernization strategies driving feature commonality across silicon
• Interface with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery
• Manage resources and schedules, lead engineering operations and oversee budgets and talents

Essential Requirements

• .15+ years in engineering roles and leadership with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and product lines
• Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus in BIOS and embedded controller firmware
• Deep knowledge of UEFI BIOS, embedded firmware, operating systems such as Windows, RTOS, Zephyr, Linux, device drivers
• Experience in software and firmware development life cycle
