Audio Software Senior Principal Engineer

As an Audio Software Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing AVS (Audio Voice Speech) hardware and software solutions based on the customer’s business goals, needs, and general business environment. You will work with technology providers, suppliers, internal cross-functional partners and ODMs to enhance technical and resource capability to support the demands of Dell's future product strategy and roadmap. You will also provide AVS technology leadership and guidance to ODMs and technology providers on complicated problems, including architectural and AVS (Audio Voice Speech) process changes to drive the best experiences for our customers.

What you’ll achieve

As an AudioSoftware Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated systems and software solutions based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment.

You will:

• Play a role in the full software and feature development life cycle of Audio, Voice and Speech solutions including development, test, continuous delivery and suppor

• Design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes with internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead efforts on issue debugging, root cause analysis, solution validation, code updates deployment and related timely communications with cross-functional stakeholders

• Design and make the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust

Essential Requirements

•         15+ years work experience. Including 4+ years of Windows Audio Driver/Software development experience.  

•         Experience with Audio, Voice and Speech technology or related EE/ME/SW expertise with proven ability to apply them to system design, trouble-shooting and solutions.

•         MSFT Windows Driver development experience, Strong problem-solving skills. Linux Driver experience is a plus.

•         Familiarity with industry standards such as ACPI, SoundWire, USB,. etc.

•         Agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly, and bring others along. Good ability to provide leadership and guidance. Proven track record of close co-working, negotiations and collaborations with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

•         Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related field.

•         Experience in software/driver development/programming using at least one of Python/C/C#/C++/Java
