Global Commodity and Supply Manager
A ground-breaking company making game-changing products needs an exceptional supply chain. Commodity Management within Materials and Procurement develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for suppliers or commodities. We use our in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts with optimum pricing and terms. We also harness our understanding of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop optimal commodity management strategies.

What you’ll achieve
As a Global Commodity and Supply Manager, you will drive both the pricing and supply continuity strategy across a high-impact portfolio, shaping global sourcing outcomes for Dell’s desktop, notebook and XLOB teams. You will work with engineering, procurement, finance, and supply base partners to develop cost leadership strategies and proactively mitigate supply risk across geographies.
You will:
Lead end-to-end ownership of commodity pricing strategy, from cost estimation and benchmarking to supplier negotiations and long-term roadmap planning
Build and execute proactive supply continuity strategies, including alternate sourcing, dual-site readiness, and supplier capacity scaling
Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, WWP, ODMs) to align supplier strategies with product roadmap and margin targets
Anticipate market dynamics, geo-political risks, and input cost changes to inform pricing intelligence and strategic sourcing decisions
Drive long-term partnerships and supplier accountability through structured business reviews and performance scorecards

Essential Requirements
5+ years of experience in supply chain, commodity management, or procurement with global exposure
Strong analytical skills in pricing, cost modeling, and financial impact assessment
Proven negotiation experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers
Track record of mitigating supply risks through supplier diversification, multi-sourcing, or geo-spread initiatives
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global, cross-functional teams
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Familiarity with PC/Server component supply chains or experience working with ODM partners
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $133,500 - $170,000.
