What you’ll achieve
As a Government Affairs Sr. Advisor, you will join the GlobalGovernment Affairs team as an advocate for Dell’s key business priorities in the US Congress.  You will contribute your political and governmental expertise to decision-driving discussions among internal and external stakeholders; and serve as a highly visible representative of Dell’s values and priorities withFederalpolicymakers, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders in and around the US Federal Government
You will:

Interact with government officials on behalf of Dell and advance the company’s business priorities

Establish, develop, and maintainDell relationships with US policymakers and elected officials

Develop and execute proactive and reactive advocacy strategies relating to priority legislative and regulatory issues; Working with other functions, devise strategies designed to enhance Dell’s reputation and thought leadership

Regularly present to and update internal and external audiences on US political and legislative developments critical to Dell’s business objectives

Work closely with Global Operations, Legal, and other company stakeholders on business priorities as they relate to government policy and policy makers

Monitor, track, and influence federal legislation and regulatory proposals; proactively inform relevant legal and business leaders of emerging policy trendsimpacting Dell’s business or compliance interests

Essential Requirements

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required

8+ years of related experience with Government in the United States at the Federal, State, or Local level

Strong understanding of US politics, policy issues and legislative/regulatory processes.

Should have extensive political and policy experience, including contacts on Capitol Hill

Aptitude to work collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team

Comfortable interacting regularly with senior leaders

Proven ability to collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. Communications, Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.)

Proven ability to work, lead and collaborate with other internal teams (ex. Communications, Public Affairs, Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.

Demonstrate ability to operate with integrity and within standards of ethical conduct

Desirable Requirements

Deep policy expertise or experience in emerging technologies, federal procurement regulations and oversight, or federal/state budget finance process.

Strong experience working with Senate Majority leadership, and congressional leaders.

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $153,850 - $199,100.
