What you’ll achieve

As a Technical Staff, Platform Architect, you will have the the opportunity to participate in the development of next generation large scale AI Infrastructure including accelerated compute, AI fabrics and AI optimized storage. You will engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and tune the system for maximum performance. Be responsible for driving innovation at the datacenter level with liquid cooling technologies and power density. You will develop long-term technology strategies based on the technical and business information they maintain, where the strategy is developed with knowledge from the industry, marketing, development, manufacturing, procurement, and customer input

You will:

• Participate in and lead strategic internal and industry forums and be a point of escalation for critical development issues

• Take the lead in shaping future products and provide expertise on multiple technologies/products 

• Generate IP including invention disclosures

• Be responsible for owning multiple technologies or highly complex technologies

Essential Requirements

• 15+ years of industry experience or equivalent skill; must include experience with AI compute and storage platforms along with accelerator ecosystems from a hardware and software perspective

• Solid understanding and knowledge of AI compute design, network architecture and storage; must have ability to develop automation scripts for validation, configuration and benchmarking

• Ability to develop technical relationships with the vendor base for core technology or solutions to create a technical interface to drive those requirements into next generation vendor designs which includes maintaining a database of multi-year vendor/partner roadmaps with detailed feature trade-offs and ensures roadmap alignment by hosting regular ongoing technology reviews with the vendors/partners to ensure alignment with Dell business objectives

• Experience identifying, developing and communicating differentiation opportunities and providing recommendations to marketing, procurement, engineering, customers and business executives

• Ability to understand competitive and business needs while developing technical solutions; need to be able to travel 20%-30% to assess customer requirements and develop blueprints based on customer geographical area

• Advanced degrees or technical certifications

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Salary Range for this role in is $216,750.00 to $323,000.00.
