Electrical Senior Principal Engineer

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. Innovators in our field, we lead the way in exploring new concepts, approaches, processes, materials and components.: As a Hardware Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for Design for Supply Chain Resiliency and solve Continuity of Supply (COS) challenges. You will work with DELL Platform & Engineering Function teams and ODMs on Continuity of Supply (COS) challenges mainly, but not limit.

You will:

• Design for Supply Chain Resiliency and solve Continuity of Supply (COS) challenges cross Backplane/PERC/HBA & BOSS(Boot Optimize Storage Solution) products.

• This includes feature definition, supplier selection, development process execution and improvement, integration testing, fault isolation and resolution, manufacturing release, and resolution of design issues found in the field.

• The position provides the opportunity for setting the technical and design direction for a storage subsystem along with responsibility for its implementation into the server/storage product lines.

• Duties include all activities necessary to take a design from concept to production including, architecture definition, schematics, component selection, debug, test, issue resolution and factory ramp support.   Candidate will be expected to work under and deliver to date-driven schedules and write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and documentation.

Essential Requirements

• The ideal candidate should have design and development experience in computing industry with 8-10+ years.

• Hands on experience handling Oscilloscopes, analyzer with strong methodical troubleshooting knowledge desired.

• Familiar with ECAD tools like Cadence Allegro ,CAM350 and able to review & provide feedback on schematics & board layout.

• Knowledge on board SI (Signal Integrity), board stack-up, DRC constraints, etc and cooperate experience with engineering function teams(such as: SI/DCDC/ME/S&V/Reliability/EMC…etc).

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with Backplane(SAS/SATA/NVMe) and storage controller RAID or HBA HW solutions in multiple implementations: embedded, PCIe adapter and external controller.

• Experience with CPLD designs using Verilog coding, DDR memory/NAND technologies/interfaces, board layout and schematic tools and battery charging/management circuitry.
