What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Diags, ONIE, BIOS and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions on Networking Switch products.

You will:

• Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/networking environments

• Prepare, review and evaluate the Diags, ONIE and BIOS design specifications for networking switch products and systems

• Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies on Diags, ONIE and BIOS for networking switch products and systems

Essential Requirements

• 13+ years of software development experience on Diags, ONIE and BIOS fields on Networking Switch products including 100G/400G/800G/1.6T products design. Good knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities

• Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications. Excellent knowledge and application of engineering concepts along with effective problem-solving ability. Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the Networking Switch ecosystem.

• Fluent in UEFI and EDKII foundation design and delivering generic features on top of it.

• Ability to manage, motivate, and direct a cross-functional workgroup; and drive successful negotiations.

• Solid design experiences of Broadcom SDK and PHY drivers.

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field

• Solid understanding of existing industry players in cables and optics field.
