Software Principal Engineer, Linux Kernel

What You’ll Achieve

As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

• Participate in research, software architecture, design and implementation of innovative technologies in the domain of storage for enterprise and cloud environments.

• Contribute to design and implement high-quality, scalable, performance oriented software (both user and kernel level) in a multi-threaded environment.

• Contribute to open-source projects that are at the front of the technology world.

• Research and POCing of new innovative technologies.

Essential Requirements:

• BS/MS with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong programming skills in C/C++.

• Linux kernel code development experience and OS internals understanding (Memory Management, IO, Storage, Networking).

• Experience contributing code to open-source projects and actively engaging with open-source communities (Linux kernel, SPDK etc.)

• Experience in: Algorithms and data structures, multithreading concepts, object synchronization and communication protocols.

• Very good understanding of standard debugging concepts, tools, and techniques.

Desirable Requirements:

• Fast learner, independent, creative and proactive team player

• Experience and knowledge in some of the following fields: storage protocols (NVMeOF), memory management techniques, device drivers, networking.
