Mechanical Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for Networking Switch Products and Peripherals. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

What you’ll achieve
As a Mechanical Principal Engineer, you will responsible for designing and analyzing mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging. They conduct feasibility studies, testing, prototype fabrication, and collaborate with other teams to create products that meet technical specifications and cost requirements. Additionally, they oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical systems, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Use for jobs that are responsible for development of external customer products. Jobs that are responsible for development of internal systems and applications should use jobs in the Information Technology group.
You will:
Engages across products, technical disciplines and core team.
Cooperates efforts of internal and external mechanical development teams in all mechanical development project activities with minimal supervision on the most complex devices, subsystems and components.
Conducts feasibility studies for new projects leveraging existing designs while also generating new designs and IP, drives consistency and thoroughness across portfolio in planning and executing associated development activities.
Thorough understanding of the mechanical development process as an expert Supports and influences integration of mechanical strategy across technical disciplines internally and externally.

Essential Requirements
8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree. Program management or people management experience is preferred.
Advanced mechanical aptitude for interpretation of mechanical drawing specifications and technical documents.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products and other market product offerings, manufacturing design issues.
Advanced ability to conduct electro-mechanical product development, options for critical design elements and features to optimum selection, and drive issue resolutions.
Advanced ability to read and understand technical data sheets, complex drawings as well as 3D databases, skills to perform CAD design and ability from FEA tools.
Desirable Requirements
Wide and in-depth network in mechanical engineering industry.
Comprehensive and thorough knowledge in cost analysis.
