Join us as an Electrical Senior Principal Engineer on our Radio Engineering Group within the Wireless Engineering Organization in Taipei, Taiwan to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

What you will achieve

The Radio Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining radio communication solutions related to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth™ and WWAN. The role requires a deep understanding of industry chipsets and technologies and can apply this knowledge to create industry-leading wireless module solutions for the Dell Technologies PC client portfolio.

You will:

• Help to define wireless product requirements and features and provide platform integration and solution architecture guidance

• Design and develop radio communication solutions in conjunction with our radio partners. Manage radio technology partner development expectations, deliverables collaborating with our platform ODM partners

• Evaluate and test radio solutions to ensure fulfillment of Dell feature requirements and specifications

• Support platform integration, security and customer/field issue resolution

• Actively engage technology partners and monitor industry trends to stay current on the latest radio technologies for relevant roadmap and product inclusion

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience in wireless engineering and radio communication systems design with detailed knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and/or 3GPP (5G/LTE) networking technologies

• Deep understanding of PC hardware, BIOS, operating systems and secure software driver architectures

• Strong collaborative problem solving and debugging capabilities across a broad set of integration and sustaining issues

• Proven leadership, communication and project management skills to proactively manage a diverse set of partners and articulate complex technical concepts and issues

Desirable Requirements

• Hands-on experience with RF performance characterization, optimization and tuning

• Experience in the design of IoT technologies, protocols and end-to-end remote device management solutions
