What is your current role?

I’m a Datacenter Sales Executive in Italy, focusing on Cloud Service Providers and partner acquisition. In my role, I proactively match and identify customer business needs by using Dell’s products and service to create solutions. I also manage relationships with customers, decision makers and management teams.

Why did you decide to join Dell Technologies?

I've always been curious about technology and how to use it for improving our lives. After graduating in International Management, I started my career in the IT sector. My goal has always been to work in a multinational company, like Dell Technologies, where I can improve my knowledge while developing my technical and sales skills. Additionally, Dell Technologies core values are based on diversity & inclusion, sustainability, and supporting people with disabilities. I love the work environment; we all support each other and win together while celebrating our diverse backgrounds.  These values reflect in our work and interactions with our customers, allowing us to create unique and accountable solutions.

How many roles did you have during your tenure at Dell Technologies?

My innate curiosity, combined with the desire to increase my personal and professional skills, led me to apply for the Technical Sales Representative (TSR) position in 2018, focused on Enterprise accounts. Later, I had the opportunity to be aligned to different customer sets, from Public Administration to SMB companies. I’ve discovered that each market has its own peculiarities. I also found that being ready to accept new challenges has been the key to growth and success, every day, with every customer, in every change.

Dell Technologies work environment encourages trying new opportunities. In August 2022, I was promoted to Data Center Sales Executive (DCSE). In this role, I was focused on acquiring new partners to create relationships with and business opportunities from scratch. Each step of my career represents a goal achieved and a new beginning. Due to my determination and humility, I’ve seen a wide spectrum of opportunities and personal growth.

How has Dell Technologies contributed to your success?

Dell Technologies has enhanced my strengths and has contributed to my personal development. Also, I’ve been able to make connections and networks that benefit my success in my current role. My technical background from my time as a TSR combined with interpersonal skills I picked up along the way, has made it easy for me to adapt. I’ve gained confidence in expressing my ideas and found that being yourself allows you to face daily difficulties with stronger determination.  

Furthermore, having different mentors over the years has allowed me to receive feedback and use that to develop new ideas for my career path. One of them told me that, “there’s not a defined path to achieve your goals. Build your network, do not stop studying and continue being curious. You’ll see you are the person you are meant to be.”

What are you most proud of?

I am a core member of the Women in Action ERG in Italy. In this role, I get to encourage colleagues to share their Digital Future Program experience, and influence children to get involved in STEM education. Talking with new generations gives you the ability to understand what the future looks like and how we can embrace it.

Did you ever think you would be where you are today?

Not at all! When I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a scientific researcher so that I could help people find new medical treatments to improve their life. Now, working in Dell Technologies allows me to help customers gain a major advantage through our technology. Instead of improving lives in the science field, I’m still doing it here by making it easier for customers and improving their innovative outputs to be shared in our local community.
