My name is Amrutha Ananth, and I drive marketing for Dell’s Tech Alliances ecosystem, wearing many hats to fuel the growth of our partnerships. My role spans a wide range of activities—executing go-to-market strategies, enabling sales teams with the right content, contributing to strategic corporate programs, creating impactful partner marketing initiatives and supporting key industry events like the Supercomputing Conference.
I work closely with partner managers and their marketing counterparts to ensure alignment across initiatives that drive meaningful results. Whether it's amplifying the Dell brand through joint marketing campaigns, curating strategic content, or executing digital campaigns, my focus is always on bridging strategy with execution to achieve tangible business impact.
In addition to go-to-market efforts, I manage the Tech Alliances SharePoint hub, optimize partner materials and contribute to the Dell AI & HPC Community by hosting key discussions and ensuring secure engagement. This diverse blend of responsibilities keeps me energized, constantly innovating and pushing to make each partnership thrive.
Outside of marketing, I’m passionate about fostering knowledge-sharing and inclusivity. I serve as the Cross-ERG Liaison for Women in Action (WIA) and co-lead the Learn & Ask Forum for Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Strategy & Operations.

What I love most about my day-to-day is operating in the intersections—where strategy meets creativity, where cross-functional teams align and where ideas evolve into real impact.

What’s a surprising skill you have learned at work that has helped as a mom?
The biggest skill I’ve carried from work into parenting is the art of adaptability and compartmentalization. In marketing, I navigate shifting priorities, manage multiple campaigns and problem-solve on the fly—skills that translate seamlessly into parenting. At home, it means switching gears effortlessly between meetings and make-believe, deadlines and dinosaurs.
But beyond structure, both worlds have reinforced the same truth: chaos is inevitable, and staying calm is key. No campaign launch unfolds exactly as planned, just as no toddler’s day follows a script. Plans shift, meltdowns happen and you pivot—gracefully (or at least with coffee in hand). And if marketing has taught me anything, it’s that even the most well-thought-out strategies sometimes fail—whether it’s a product rollout or trying to convince a toddler that socks are non-negotiable.
Ultimately, success in both roles isn’t just about time management—it’s about staying present, thinking on your feet and embracing the unexpected with a sense of humor.

What’s your favorite thing about your day-to-day?
What I love most about my day-to-day is operating in the intersections—where strategy meets creativity, where cross-functional teams align and where ideas evolve into real impact. My role isn’t confined to one function or viewpoint; instead, I act as a connector, weaving insights from different geographies, partners and stakeholders into cohesive marketing strategies.
This fluidity keeps every day fresh. One moment, I’m crafting the narrative for a partner campaign; the next, I’m shaping the collateral for an industry summit. The balance between structured execution and on-the-fly problem-solving energizes me, blending long-term vision with real-time adaptability.
What makes it truly rewarding is the constant opportunity to learn and grow. Whether it’s from the brilliant people I collaborate with, the challenges that stretch my skills, or the moments that push me to think differently, curiosity fuels everything I do—and that’s what keeps me inspired.
What is the most impactful piece of advice you’ve received in your career journey?
The most impactful career advice I’ve received is: “What you choose not to do is just as important as what you choose to do.” This insight came from my manager, Matthew Pelletier, who leads the Tech Alliances team. I’ve always been eager to take on challenges, but Matt’s guidance helped me realize that true progress comes from being intentional about where I invest my time and energy. I’ve learned that doing more doesn’t always mean achieving more. Real impact comes from focusing on what truly matters and filtering out the noise. This shift in mindset has transformed how I prioritize, align with the bigger picture and make space for meaningful contributions.
How do you manage stress?
Stress is inevitable, but I’ve found that resilience comes from perspective. When things feel overwhelming, I pause and ask, “What’s the worst that could happen?” More often than not, the situation isn’t as critical as it seems. Instead of resisting stress, I use it as a signal to reset. One habit that helps me stay grounded is embracing early mornings, inspired by Robin Sharma’s 5AM Club concept. Waking up before the world gets busy gives me space to center myself—whether it’s chatting with my husband, journaling, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee or fitting in a quick workout. It’s less about the hour and more about intentionally carving out time for clarity and reflection. By creating this buffer, I approach challenges with focus and composure rather than reacting impulsively. It’s a simple shift that transforms stress from something to endure into an opportunity to reset and refocus.

If there was a superpower you could possess, what would it be?
If I could possess any superpower, it would be that of an Akshayapatra, the mythical, inexhaustible vessel from ancient Indian lore that always provides food and never runs out. What draws me to this power is its ability to give endlessly, without ever depleting. In my world, creativity is a powerful form of nourishment, driving innovation, problem-solving and making a real impact.
Just like the Akshayapatra, I would want the ability to generate fresh, original ideas that never run out—ideas that can be shared, passed on and used to inspire growth in others. Whether it’s developing a new campaign, collaborating with partners or finding a solution to a challenge, I want to keep giving, contributing and sparking creativity without ever feeling drained. And, honestly, having grown up hearing the story of Akshayapatra from my parents, you can never take the Indianness out of me! It's a reminder of the deep value of giving, and that’s the kind of power I’d want to possess.
What are your favorite activities for keeping a work-life balance?
For me, work-life balance is less about shutting off and more about blending my passions into the mix. Whether it’s writing, music, photography or dance, these are the things that fuel me and keep my creativity flowing. Travel plays a huge role, too. It’s my way of pressing reset, discovering new places, and coming back with a whole new perspective. Every trip adds its own little spark to both my personal and professional life. I don’t think life is about mastering every skill—it's more about enjoying the ride and picking up new things along the way. I share my experiences, what inspires me and all the things I love on my website, AmAdVentures.com—where dance, photography and a whole lot of curiosity come together.
One of the biggest challenges I face is navigating ambiguity, especially in marketing, where roadmaps aren’t always clear. I embrace curiosity and experimentation, using "what if" questions to build structure as I go. For example, when collaborating with partner managers, we often start with a plan for joint collateral, aligning on messaging and goals. However, as we progress, we remain flexible, adapting the content to evolving insights or shifts in the market. This approach allows us to pivot when needed while still maintaining a clear direction, turning uncertainty into an opportunity for creative problem-solving and growth.
Another challenge is balancing long-term strategic goals with the need for short-term wins. In marketing, it’s important to deliver measurable results now while planning for the future. For example, while working on a partner campaign, we set a goal to increase brand awareness over the next quarter, but we also need to track and celebrate immediate milestones like lead generation or social engagement. I tackle this by setting clear objectives for both, staying agile to adjust strategies when necessary, and ensuring that we’re always moving toward the bigger picture while driving tangible results in the short term.
What do you enjoy most about working at Dell?
What I enjoy most about working at Dell is the freedom to bring my ideas to life. While I’m given clear goals, I also have the flexibility to shape the process in a way that works best for me. It’s a rare balance, and it’s one I truly appreciate. What makes it even more fulfilling is that, despite working alongside incredibly experienced colleagues—many with decades in the industry—my ideas are always welcomed. Whether I’m crafting strategic materials or planning initiatives, my contributions are valued and taken seriously. At the end of the day, feeling heard, trusted and empowered is what makes a workplace great. And that’s exactly the experience I have at Dell.
