Tell us about yourself.
I’m Anna Dulevitz, a recent Baylor University grad with a dual BBA in Finance and Management Information Systems. I started with Dell as a finance intern before switching to the IT Development Program (ITDP). One of the most exciting things about Dell is its diverse workforce. I love international travel and have spent the last year forming close working relationships with coworkers across the world. My free time is spent going on walks in an effort to hit my daily step count, scrapbooking—or whatever craft I’m attempting that week—and spending time with friends.
What is the IT Development Program? How does it set up its members for successful careers?
ITDP is a program that offers personal and professional development for recent graduates. Participants are placed in cohorts that allow them to network with people in the same stage of their careers. In the program, participants volunteer together, participate in workshops and attend educational summits. ITDP members can rotate across different teams and work in multiple roles including product manager, designer and software engineer. This provides the opportunity to explore different paths early in one's career, all with the support of ITDP mentors.
Why did you decide to join the ITDP?
I chose ITDP because the program is designed to help its participants succeed. Not to say it’s foolproof, but those who fully utilize the program's resources and support will likely thrive in their careers. Equally important, the rotational aspect alleviates the daunting decision of committing to a career path early on. Having the opportunity to try out completely different roles on various teams—and to get the perspectives of talented people with vast experience in these fields—is such a privilege.
Could you highlight any standout projects or opportunities you've had a chance to work on as a part of the program?
In my role as a UX Designer, I have had the opportunity to contribute to one of Dell’s largest modernization projects, aimed at driving digital transformation across the organization. Specifically, my team is responsible for the My Account section of Dell.com. Working on such a critical aspect of the website—the public face, which demands the utmost personalization and convenience—has been incredibly educational. I've gotten to conduct research and interview Dell customers, aiming to create a product that is intuitive to users and beneficial to the business. Blending my background in business and technology while collaborating on a cross-functional team has been invaluable, facilitating a grasp of both technical and business requirements.
I would encourage potential ITDPs to be enthusiastic about this program's learning opportunities. There are so many avenues through which one can develop, including peer mentorship, learning platforms and hands-on experience in one’s rotations. Expressing an earnest interest in these development opportunities indicates a readiness to fully engage with the program’s offerings.

What are your favorite activities for keeping a work-life balance?
I make it a point to schedule a daily walk as a way to recharge in between meetings. Staying focused with back-to-back meetings can be hard, so walks are a great mental reset. I also enjoy taking advantage of Dell’s learning platforms to keep work engaging and fulfilling. Continuous learning and development are incredibly beneficial, professionally and personally. Right now, I’m learning how to use Power BI. Dell’s learning resources cover myriad topics across various interests. I’ve even seen courses on Fundamentals of Garden Design and How to Accessorize Like a Pro.
What advice would you offer to potential applicants who are considering joining Dell's ITDP?
I would encourage potential ITDPs to be enthusiastic about this program's learning opportunities. There are so many avenues through which one can develop, including peer mentorship, learning platforms and hands-on experience in one’s rotations. Expressing an earnest interest in these development opportunities indicates a readiness to fully engage with the program’s offerings. To be fair, I’m a passionate advocate of enthusiasm in general…it isn’t just good for professional development, it also makes it more fun.
