I’m Anuj Joshi, and I’ve been part of Dell for over a decade. My journey here has been both enriching and exciting. With a background in technical consulting and a passion for solving complex challenges, I’ve had the opportunity to help shape Dell’s presence in the Telecom sector in India. What drives me every day is the chance to make a meaningful impact—for our customers, our teams, and our communities.

       

Career Journey at Dell

My journey with Dell began in 2007 when I joined as a System Consultant. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, enabling one to understand customer needs, implement technical strategies, design solutions, and deliver high-value outcomes. It serves as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring successful project delivery and contributing to Dell’s overall success. The experience has been both enriching and exciting. Over the years, I’ve led solution teams that have successfully addressed complex customer challenges. Today, I lead the Telecom business for Dell in India, driving growth and contributing to our continued success in the region.

A Career Milestone I’m Proud Of

When I stepped into my current role, Dell’s market share in India’s Telecom vertical was minimal—despite having a strong portfolio of Data Centre products. As a team, we identified the core challenges hindering our growth and worked closely with leadership and global teams to address them. Today, Dell India holds a leadership position in the Telecom sector and is the preferred choice for the country’s largest telecom service providers. It’s a proud milestone for all of us.

     

 How To Stay Resilient in a Competitive Market

Success and failure are part of life—both personally and professionally. It’s important to stay grounded during success and remain strong and positive during setbacks. We continuously reflect on our experiences, analyze outcomes, and learn from them. Remaining a trusted consultant to our customers is key. By building strong relationships and actively listening, I can strategize and deliver optimal solutions. My interpersonal skills play a vital role in fostering trust and long-term partnerships with our customers.

   

My Advice for Aspiring Professionals

Strong communication, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and business acumen are essential for success in customer-facing roles. One must be open to continuous learning and stay agile in customer interactions. And above all, there’s no substitute for hard work and a genuine will to succeed.
