Can you share what initially attracted you to Dell and how it aligns with your career goals?
Dell's brand exposure and reputation, coupled with its innovative culture, were key factors that brought me to the company.
What stands out to you about Dell's culture, and can you share an example that embodies it?
Dell's culture revolves around innovation and encourages our development and ideas, demonstrated through initiatives like our annual IT Hackathon in Brazil. Participating in it last year and becoming a finalist opened doors for me, showcasing the company's commitment to fostering creative solutions. Our Dell Hackathon involves collaborative idea generation, development, and even pitching to vice presidents from the United States! This event creates a unique space for innovation and teamwork.
Could tell us about Dell's program for early-career development in IT, and how it has contributed to your growth?
The Dell IT Development Program is a comprehensive program covering technical skills and strengthen professional capabilities such as communication, collaboration, personal brand, and leadership. The program facilitates networking and building connections. We have access to courses and trainings and participation in committees as members or leaders which helped me to improve my leadership skills with practical experience. The practical application of learning through challenges and committees is invaluable. It also offers role rotation opportunities, allowing us to explore different positions and find our true passion within the company.
In what ways do you feel Dell promotes diversity and inclusion?
Dell's commitment to diversity and inclusion is tangible for me as a mother and a woman in the IT field. The company provides opportunities specifically for women, such as recent internship programs in the IT area in Brazil exclusively for them. Also, the flexible work culture allows me the flexibility needed to balance work and family life.
