More Than a Project: Growing with Elice, Growing with Dell
Partnering with Elice has been one of the most defining chapters of my time at Dell. What began as a strategic collaboration quickly evolved into a journey of growth—not just for our teams, but for me personally. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of leading the account for Elice in South Korea, working on a shared mission to reimagine AI infrastructure for the future of learning. From the outset, our goal was clear: to build a scalable, efficient AI data center that could drive real impact in education and research. What truly made this experience stand out was the deep collaboration between our teams. We came together with a spirit of openness, sharing ideas, navigating challenges, and co-investing in bold innovations. I led the coordination across Dell’s internal teams—from technical proposals to services and deployment—while also engaging our broader partner ecosystem to bring everything together. As Elice now expands into the APJ market and beyond, I’m continuing to support their growth with strategic marketing and business development—ensuring we scale with purpose and impact.

Empowering the Future of Learning
Elice is one of the most innovative AI education and research companies in Korea. Their mission is to make high-performance, cloud-based AI learning environments accessible—not just for schools, but also for government agencies, enterprises, and universities. As traditional education models struggled to keep up with the rapid growth of AI, Elice introduced Elice LXP—Korea’s first AI-based, hands-on learning experience platform. Their solutions quickly gained traction, and today, more than 2.6 million users across 5,400+ organizations use Elice tools to run complex AI workloads like neural networks, natural language processing models, and recommendation engines. It has been incredibly rewarding to see how Dell’s infrastructure has played a key role in making that possible helping scale these learning environments in a way that’s both efficient and inclusive.

Building Smart, Modular Infrastructure
One of the more complex challenges we faced was rethinking the data center model to meet Elice’s needs. Traditional setups couldn’t handle the level of computing power they required and came with constraints around space, cooling, and energy use. Together, we took a different approach. We proposed a Modular Data Center (MDC) solution that could support up to 20–40kW per rack—far more than the typical 3.3kW—while significantly improving energy performance. It also brought major gains in power efficiency, reducing the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) to 1.27, compared to the conventional average of 2.3. By integrating Dell’s AI Factory with NVIDIA, Elice launched GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) through their own cloud platform, backed by their proprietary GPU resource allocation technology. It was a smart, scalable model that aligned perfectly with their vision. What made it even more memorable was the level of coordination it required. Since Elice issued separate contracts for areas like telecom, power, cooling, and facilities, we had to ensure everything came together seamlessly. Thanks to constant communication, strong teamwork, and mutual trust, we pulled it off without a single error. That moment of completion is one I won’t forget.
From Data Centers to Classrooms
Of all the milestones in this project, one that stands out the most is what Elice was able to achieve with the infrastructure we helped build. With the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA solution in place, they are introducing Korea’s first AI-powered digital textbooks, giving students personalized, real-time feedback and enabling teachers to focus on more creative and meaningful instruction.
It was one of those moments where the technology didn’t just work—it made a difference. Seeing how it empowered both educators and learners reminded me that this work is ultimately about people.

Looking Forward, Together
As we move into the era of Sovereign AI, where data security, transparency, and ethical use are becoming increasingly important, I am proud that Dell is playing a part in shaping this future. We continue to support Elice as they explore Portable Modular Data Centers (PMDCs) that are not only high-performing and cost-efficient but also secure and sustainable. This journey has been much more than a professional milestone for me. It has been about growing alongside a visionary partner, learning from every challenge, and seeing firsthand how innovation can truly change lives. I am grateful to be part of it and excited for what is next.
