I’ve always loved marketing ever since I was young. Mostly because my dad got his degree in marketing, and he was always so proud of that! When I went to college, I followed in his footsteps and attended the University of South Florida and received my Master of Science degree in Marketing. Shortly after graduating, I had the opportunity to join a mobile solutions provider named Syniverse and worked in their competitive intelligence division. Within a year of joining, I moved into a product marketing role where I was responsible for marketing to their enterprise customers and absolutely loved it! For 8 years, I was responsible for product marketing, leading a team of market research and product marketing specialists to ensure we broke through the noise in the market.
In 2020, I joined Dell Technologies to continue my journey in product marketing and am focused on bringing our products and use cases to life. I started out in cloud and I’m now supporting our Unstructured Data Solutions business with an amazing team. I’ve had a blast here so far – the collaborative culture and the way our teams support one another is something I really value.
A Marketer’s Mindset for Success
In order to be successful in marketing, I believe you have to love what you do and find not only passion but exhilaration in the role. I think that has really helped in my career. No matter what the project or task in marketing, I find it very rewarding to solve challenges – you are never bored!
I also work with such a diverse group of people. One day I’ll talk to sales leaders about what they’re hearing from customers, the next I’ll brainstorm a key launch with product management, and the next I’ll meet with Field Marketing and Global Campaigns to market our products around the globe. It is a great role to be in if you like working with lots of different groups of people.
Take the time to lift people up when they doubt themselves. We’ve all been there (I do this myself), when you second-guess yourself or get in your own head. You’ll be surprised how much of an impact you make when you listen and encourage others.

Harnessing AI for the Future of Marketing Innovation
First, I can say that it is pretty exciting to be in tech right now – I think we are in one of the most transformative times in our lifetime. And so, I think it is important for us to embrace AI to be successful. I’ve found that Generative AI (GenAI) can be a great tool for research, and what I especially love is you can keep diving deeper by asking prompt after prompt until you get the answer you need. I’d say that this is one of the main ways I use GenAI today – to research and learn in a very targeted way.
Everybody has a personal digital assistant now! I actually think the possibilities are limitless for streamlining tasks that would have taken hours of work traditionally – converting it into minutes of work. This frees up time to do other more important projects that drive the needle for the business.
The Dell AI Factory
We market the Dell Data Platform for AI within our group, which is a key component of the Dell AI Factory. That includes tried, trusted and industry-leading storage with Dell PowerScale and Dell ECS, and we join that with our open architecture Dell Data Lakehouse, compute, networking and Services portfolio to provide a true end-to-end data solution for our thousands of customers around the world. It’s an extremely exciting part of the business!
Acknowledging Key Moments in my Career
There are a couple of moments that really stand out for me during my career at Dell. The most memorable has been presenting at Dell Tech World (DTW). I’ve had the opportunity to interview several of our key customers onstage and learn about their unique use cases and ways working with Dell has created real impact. How cool is it that our technology is used to save and improve lives in a lot of instances? It makes you proud to work here and present with customers in all different industries. Plus, customers are always fun! We have a lot of laughs and they’re always so personable onstage.
One other standout moment was planning our AI Vision Event in 2023. We had a goal of breaking new ground and showcasing our vision around our unstructured storage portfolio. I had the opportunity to work with our team from start to finish: coming up with a strategic plan, talking to creative agencies, scripting with leaders from all around Dell, coordinating with the field and social teams to promote the event and more importantly, getting everybody excited about our event by teasing something big. It was challenging at times, but we pushed through as a team of over 100 – all coordinating together. It was right before the holidays too, so it was a good win for all of us before closing out the year.
Advice Learned Along the Way
The best piece of advice I’ve received in my career is to bring people along on your journey. It’s very easy to be consumed by improving yourself and your individual career goals. But I’ve learned that the more important part is inspiring others and getting them excited about their unique qualities and what they bring to the table. Share with your team – share your unique learnings, take the time to help others and actively listen.
More importantly, take the time to lift people up when they doubt themselves. We’ve all been there (I do this myself), when you second-guess yourself or get in your own head. You’ll be surprised how much of an impact you make when you listen and encourage others.
Keeping a “Work-Life” Balance
I love spending time with my kids and family! I’m always looking for fun things to do with them – nothing better than a toddler’s smile. We do a lot of crafts like painting stepping stones or playing with Play-Doh. We love 50-piece puzzles and racing around the yard (I time them on my phone and we race around in circles). I also like writing children’s books about kindness in my free time and have published two books so far – The Fish Makes a Wish and The Honey Hoarder.
It’s the little things in life that have become much more important me! I try not to blink and am cherishing every moment <3
