At Dell, diversity isn't just a buzzword—it's a cornerstone of our culture. This November, our Panama office showcased this commitment through vibrant celebrations of Panamanian heritage.
During this month, our office hosted a series of events to honor Panama’s heritage. The highlight was the Panama Culture Fest, featuring traditional breakfast and lunch, a local market with regional products and captivating music performances, including a special show by our folklore group.
Farah Tejeira de García, who has been with Dell Technologies for 17 years and is part of the folklore group, shared her thoughts on the importance of cultural events: "These events are crucial in rebuilding our sense of belonging," she said.
My connection to Panamanian culture began in primary school, where I was introduced to folklore. This early education sparked my lifelong passion for it, and I believe that integrating folklore into the curriculum is essential for preserving our cultural heritage.

Yes, I am part of the Dell Technologies Panama Folkloric Group, which is unique within the company. We started about 12 years ago, initially focusing solely on dance. However, the pandemic prompted us to transform into a broader folkloric community dedicated to creating cultural spaces and teaching about Panamanian culture.
How do events like the Panama Culture Fest impact the sense of community at Dell?
Events like the Panama Culture Fest are crucial in rebuilding our sense of belonging, which had diminished during the pandemic. These events foster a sense of community and encourage participation, helping us feel more connected.
