What brought you to Dell Technologies? Can you share your career path?

I was interested in working for a large, multinational company where I would have numerous growth opportunities, do different things and meet a variety of people within the workplace. Over the years, I've held several positions in finance. I was part of the Finance Internship Program and the Finance Development Program (FDP), which are robust development programs within Dell that allow us to explore different areas in finance, learn from different teams and leaders and get leadership exposure. Currently, I work for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.

Can you tell us about the development programs you've been a part of?

When I joined Dell Technologies, I participated in the Finance Internship Program. This program offers additional components beyond a regular internship, such as case studies and finance-related content, to help interns transition into full-time roles. After being hired full-time, I joined the Finance Development Program, which lasts for two years and involves four six-month rotations across various finance areas. Of my four rotations, three supported operations in Brazil or Latin America. In the last rotation, I had the opportunity to work in the United States, supporting Dell's global operation. I lived in Austin for six months. The opportunity to live and work in another country and be immersed in a different culture was incredible. The people I met in the United States were truly amazing.

Another very cool experience I had in the program was my graduation. Every semester in FDP we attend a conference. In your last semester, you also have a graduation ceremony. I was fortunate enough for mine to be in Malaysia, a country I never would have imagined visiting. This program was a life-changing experience for me personally and has undoubtedly enhanced my career.

How would you describe Dell’s culture?

I would describe Dell’s culture as a comfortable, yet challenging environment that fosters growth. It's a place where one can feel at ease to be productive while being encouraged to continuously develop. The company emphasizes open communication and encourages interactions with leadership and colleagues across different teams, regardless of hierarchy or department. This openness and encouragement to explore new things are what make Dell Technologies' culture stand out.

What is the best part of working at Dell Technologies?

The people I work with. I've built not only work relationships but also friendships outside the company during my six years here. Additionally, the opportunities Dell Technologies provides are incredible. Within the company, you can essentially do anything. I've worked in various areas and with different tasks, from routine activities to project-based ones, and there's something for everyone's preferences.

I always say that Dell Technologies is the perfect place to start your career because of the wide range of experiences you can gain in a short period of time. Dell Technologies is always evolving and has a mindset of bridging gaps between people and ensuring everyone knows as much as possible about what's happening beyond their specific roles. This valuable opportunity for newcomers to explore different facets of the company sets Dell Technologies apart.
