When I met my then girlfriend (now wife!) back in Europe, we knew we would face challenges to be physically together as we were from different parts of the world. Both having recently graduated, we didn’t have a lot of experience for a company to consider moving one of us across the globe. Today, we are happily married, have our own place and the cutest kitten. |

The journey started over three years ago when I landed in Singapore, my new home, and engaged with the local Dell Technologies team. As someone who always hesitated between IT and HR studies, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to interview for a major player in the IT industry. I’ve been interested in tech since I was young, and I was looking forward to share that with industry professionals.

I was first hired as a contractor with the internal Talent Intelligence Team and soon got converted to a permanent recruiter role after a successful partnership. Over the last two years, I helped build brand new teams dealing with the latest technologies, including Edge Computing, AI/ML, Cybersecurity and more, which has been filled with learning opportunities and excitement. I was also able to take additional responsibilities based on my interest, such as acting as a University Relations advisor to help drive the intern and fresh graduate hiring. It is a highly collaborative environment where it’s common for different business units and teams to get together to solve a problem or improve a situation. I can feel that everyone is trying their best to make things happen and win as a team; that’s a great feeling. |

I am now ready for my next step in Dell and just moved to a different team to continue my personal development. It is, to me, the most valuable thing a company can provide — growth opportunities. As someone who used to be a recruiter, I participated in this effort every day to make sure our internal employees have a chance to grow internally. I am happy that it applies to me today!
