Hi there! I’m Meenakshi, an Associate Systems Engineer at Dell Technologies and a proud member of the Next Gen Pre-Sales Academy. I grew up in India and spent my entire life there before making a bold move to Singapore in mid-2024 to embark on an exciting new chapter. I live by the three Cs: Curious, Courageous, and Challenging. I’m passionate about exploring new ideas, stepping outside my comfort zone, and learning something new every day. Whether at work or in life, I thrive on pushing boundaries and embracing growth.

How Saying Yes to Every Opportunity Launched My Dell Journey

    

My journey with Dell Technologies began as a fresh graduate in Information Technology, stepping into the tech world as an intern. Just four months in, something incredible happened — I was offered a full-time role as an Associate Sales Engineer Analyst! It felt like the perfect launchpad, and I was eager to grow.

Over the next three years, I immersed myself in the world of presales as part of the Data Protection team, working as an Inside Product Specialist. What made this experience even more exciting was the opportunity to collaborate remotely with teams across Southeast Asia. Every project became a new chance to learn, connect, and contribute on a regional scale.

   

Then came a pivotal moment. In April 2024, I was accepted into Dell’s Next Gen Presales Academy (NGPA) — a program designed to shape early-career professionals into future leaders in presales. This opportunity brought me to Singapore, where I officially stepped into my current role as an Associate Systems Engineer. The transition was seamless, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. One year in, I’ve already grown tremendously, and being surrounded by talented, supportive colleagues only fuels my motivation.

    

So, how did these opportunities come my way? It’s simple: show up, give your best, say yes to learning, and network like your future depends on it (because sometimes it does!). Throughout my career, I’ve eagerly embraced every learning opportunity and made it a point to network with as many experienced professionals as possible. In my opinion, networking is the most underrated learning tool!

    

Dell has shown me why every early-career professional should prioritize networking. The company frequently hosts incredible forums and events, offering opportunities to meet partners and customers, whether through virtual sessions or in-person gatherings. Additionally, Dell’s learning portals are phenomenal! They provide courses to upskill in both Dell and non-Dell Technologies, enabling you to dive into projects with your desired teams and make a real impact. It’s an exciting place to grow and thrive!
