I joined the NextGen Sales Academy (NGSA) in August of 2021 as an associate sales representative. Now, I am a data center sales representative, and I own about 30 accounts that I go through the full sales cycle with. In terms of day-to-day activities, I visit customers and partners to create and maintain strong relationships and grow the business.
What I enjoy most about my role is making my customers’ lives easier. This could be through guiding them to the right solution, working closely with them during the sales process and always ensuring they have a partner next to them, especially after the sale. This is very important to me because it makes me feel that I am making a difference.
How did the NGSA contribute to your career development?
The support that I receive from the community of the NGSA really helped me navigate through the difficulties of being a fresh grad and starting a corporate job. In addition, the continuous learning, activities and involvement in such a tight-knit community made me feel like I belong at Dell.
What inspired you to start working in technology?
During my final year of university doing my bachelor’s in business management, I had a module that was exploring the way in which technological innovations make a difference in the world and how to manage them from a business perspective. This was an exciting module for me that taught me many important things, and one of them being that technology is the future!
What advice would you give to encourage other young people to join Dell Technologies?
You will learn many things that have never crossed your mind before. Whether it may be about the technology, about sales or even about yourself. Dell offers you the space to be authentically you and provides you with numerous opportunities for growth.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a child, I wanted to become a therapist because I enjoy listening to people and have an interest in problem-solving.
What do you look forward to doing after work?
I have recently taken up padel and I get excited every Monday because I know that once I leave the office, I will meet up with my friends, be active and de-stress from work.
What are your favorite activities for keeping a “work-life” balance?
I try to travel anytime I take a holiday to consciously stop myself from working during my time off. This is very important to me to avoid burn-out, as I want to give my work my all!
