Can you describe your current role and location?

I lead a 5G SW Engineering organization in the Telecom Business Unit (BU) focused on using AI, Cloud, and platforms for 5G. We are doing active research and development (R&D) in the 5G space to bring differentiated products to our customers. I am based out of Cairo, Egypt, and work daily with team members and leaders worldwide.

When did you join Dell Technologies? Could you share your career progression within the company? I joined Dell in 2015 to lead Innovation for the Egypt Center of Excellence. I was immediately astonished by the active innovative culture that enabled all COE team members from different BUs to come up with novel ideas with real business impact, leveraging their passion for technology. The innovation culture enabled the creation of the first R&D organization in Egypt, and I transitioned to lead that team, focusing on Edge SW and AI. I then moved to the role of senior SW Engineering Manager to establish an entirely new organization for 5G. What inspires you? I'm deeply inspired by the potential of people. Seeing team members blossom from interns to leaders, contributing their unique voices and driving Innovation, fills me with immense satisfaction. Witnessing their growth and impact within the company and beyond is a constant source of motivation for me. What type of impact does your role or voluntary role (ERG activity) have on your team? By fostering an environment of autonomy, open communication, and continuous learning, I empower team members to become the architects of their success. This translates into a ripple effect across the business: innovative solutions, diverse perspectives, and a heightened sense of ownership that fuels creativity and drives results. I love seeing team members go beyond their perceived limitations and contribute to groundbreaking projects, transforming into passionate creators shaping the future of our industry together.

How has the organization inspired you to make an impact?

The organization's emphasis on autonomy, innovation, and inclusivity profoundly resonates with my personal values. It empowers me to champion these principles within my teams, creating an environment where everyone feels encouraged to contribute their best work. This ripple effect not only enhances our professional lives but also translates into a more connected and supportive community, impacting my personal life as well.

What are your proudest accomplishments thus far?

Establishing the first R&D team for Dell in Egypt and scaling it into multiple teams exceeding 200 members, while fostering individual growth and leadership development, is a milestone I'm incredibly proud of. Witnessing their contributions to solving real-world problems and shaping the future of our industry fills me with immense pride.
